Double Paw Photography is committed to service in our community. Photographing events for the Durham Animal Protection Society (DAPS), The Pet of the Week for the DAPS, Book Harvest of Durham and Vets to Vets United, Inc., allows us to give back to the community.

The Animal Protection Society of Durham (APS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been helping animals in our community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. APS relies on donations from caring individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 5,000 stray, surrendered, abandoned, abused and neglected animals we care for each year.

Book Harvest provides an abundance of books and ongoing literacy support to families and their children from birth and serves as a model for communities committed to ensuring that children are lifelong readers and learners.

Vets To Vets United, Inc. (Veterinarians to Veterans United) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to unite veterans and dogs for a common goal: improving and saving lives. By pairing veterans with dogs, V2V seeks to:

  • Significantly improve a veteran's life by providing companionship and/or help with a mental or physical disability.
  • Save the life of a dog facing euthanasia by adopting the animal from a local animal shelter.

We are thrilled and proud to be associated with these fine causes. When you have a moment, please check out their websites to learn more or to volunteer yourself!
